I have the honour to report that durin, the

recent leave of absence of lir. W. G. Clark, Traffic Assistant, Railway Department, from April to December last the work of the post was carried out by Mr. G. A. Walker, Chief Storekeeper of the Department, who had also his own duties to perform.

The Mnogor of the Railway reports that Mr. Walker had exceptionally hard work during this period of eight

months, bein, continually engaged during overtime and on Saturday afternoons and Sundays.

In these circumstances I have to recomend

that Mr. Walker should be granted a bonus of $600.
